For a while, I believed healthcare was the path I was meant to follow. But over time, I realized that the kind of care I wanted to offer came in a different form. Through creativity, art, and emotion. As a kid, I promised myself I’d grow up to be someone who truly loved what they did. At one point, I thought success meant making loads of money. Now I know that true success is waking up fulfilled, doing work that lights me up, and making others feel seen, safe, and celebrated. That’s exactly what I aim to do for you! It reflects my journey and the things I’ve learned about self-love, confidence, and what beauty really means. Growing up, I struggled with severe acne, and now I live with inflammatory rosacea. It’s part of me and my story, and honestly, part of how people recognize me. If I edited that out of photos, I wouldn’t look like myself. That’s why I feel so strongly about embracing realness in my work. I want to normalize real skin, already perfect imperfections, and anything else society often tells us to hide or keep to ourselves. When I first started photographing people, I was surprised by how many would ask me to change something about themselves. “Can you slim me down?” “Can you remove my stretch marks?” “Can you make my skin flawless?” And while I can do those things, that’s not my mission. I don’t want people to feel like they need to be retouched into something unrecognizable. I want them to feel confident as they are in their own skin and in the present moment.
